What is artificial insemination?
Artificial insemination is artificial insemination of improved breeds of bulls into the uterus of the cow without the bull when the cow is in heat or calling.
Advantages of artificial reproduction:
Rapid breed development can be achieved by breeding bulls with improved breed bulls.
Cows can be fed at the right time.
There is no need to keep a bull at home for herding or the hassle of taking cows to other's bulls.
Better sows yield better silt-scaled calves.
Calves mature before domestic calves and yield 10 to 15 kg of milk and bull calves grow in size, gain weight and have more meat in a short period of time.
Cows are not likely to be infected with sexually transmitted diseases.
If desired, the breeder can be called to the farm or home to breed the cow. Remedial measures can be taken by knowing the reason if the cow does not get pregnant again and again.
Remember:
The cow/buck should be herded at the right time.
Cows should be calved within 12 to 18 hours of calving.
Artificial insemination is a scientific method of cattle breeding.
Many have established dairy farms using artificial insemination techniques. Take this opportunity too.
Take special care of cows and calves during pregnancy and after calving.
1. Improving cattle breeds in less time.
2. More employment benefits.
3. Filling the shortage of milk and meat.
4. Increase production of non-vegetarian food.
Benefits of artificial insemination
1. 300-400 cows can be bred by processing each collection of semen from one bull.
2. Increases the pregnancy rate of cows.
3. There is no need to keep more bulls, thus reducing the cost.
4. Improved breeds can be created by breeding between different varieties or species.
5. Better breeds of cows are obtained by using the semen of improved breeds of bulls.
Disadvantages of artificial insemination
1. Skilled people are needed.
2. Accurately determine the time of summer.
3. If the bull semen is not selected properly, the purpose of artificial insemination is defeated.
4. Hot cows become harder to spot.
Suitable age of cows for breeding
1. Domestic breed chickens are suitable for first breeding at the age of 2-2.5 years.
2. Bucks of advanced hybrid breeds are suitable for first breeding at the age of 1.5-2 years.
Cows are in heat or seasonal signs.
1. Cow restlessness increases and cows call frequently.
2. Cow's milk decreases by frequent urination.
Signs that the animal is pregnant
1. Seasonal cycle stops.
2. Cows no longer call or heat
